VGP Italy Volunteer Day

Last Friday, our VGP Italy team gathered in the beautiful Oasi Lipu Castel di Guido where they helped the LIPU organisation with cleaning paths from brambles and building hedgehog houses. They also assisted in releasing of a bird treated in their centre after an accident. 

Since 1965, Lipu has been protecting birds, defending nature, and promoting knowledge and respect for the environment. It is a large community of members and volunteers striving for harmony between humankind and nature. They manage 30 oases and reserves, where nature is protected. Their rescue centres care for injured wild animals and help inform people about the best way to help fauna in distress through environmental activities in schools, cities, and nature areas.
Great thanks to the Lipu team for their warm welcome and to our Italian team for their enthusiasm and effort to contribute to nature protection with their own hands.
